rainstorm

Today we had a rainstorm with some hail thrown in.  The kids were playing in puddles until it started to hail. The rain made it hard to focus the camera. I wasn't sure how to shoot photos of the kids running.  Also, it was getting too dark for action shots. I tried to pan the camera but wasn't very successful.  I'll have to try different camera settings next time.

Last night, I used my tripod to shoot photos of the bridge in the park toward the light bars that fascinate me at night.

squirrel post

Today I took photos of a squirrel in the neighborhood.
Squirrels are kind of ugly when you get a close-up shot of them.  They are in the rodent family.  But, I'm desperate for ideas right now.  I need to try to play with the tripod I bought.

ks k9 reunion

It is September 1st, and I have vowed to update my blog daily. Today will have some of the photos of the ks k9 reunion.  It was their 10 year reunion, and a fun day.
I had a chance to take photos of lucky dogs that had been adopted by wonderful families.  There were also some dogs that need to be adopted.  There are a lot of great foster parents working with these dogs.

keeper with cumulus clouds

When I came home from work, I saw the most beautiful cumulus clouds on the highway. So, when I got home, I decided to take pictures of them with my camera.  I tried to arrange the photo so that the keeper of the plains was giving salutations to the clouds. But, it was harder than I thought.
Then the sun started to go down, and the clouds glowed with the red colors of the sunset.
